Easy Homemade Barbecue Sauce : Pork Roast Part 2

Hi Folks,

Okay for pork roast part 2.

I wanted bbq sandwiches so I took out the pound of pulled pork I had in the freezer, thawed it and warmed it in a pan on the stove top. While it was warming I made a simple bbq sauce to go with it. The recipe is below. This recipe makes about a cup of sauce, if you need more it can be easily doubled, or tripled.

You will need 1 pound of your choice of meat
8 hamburger buns

For the sauce you will need:

1 /2 cup of water
1/2 cup of ketchup
2 Tablespoons of brown sugar ( I prefer dark brown)
2 Tablespoons vinegar
2 Tablespoons of soy sauce or worcestershire
1/4 to 1 teaspoon of ground red pepper (optional)
1/8 teaspoon of ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon onion powder

Bring ingredients to a boil, reduce to a low simmer, stirring often, remove from heat after 5 minutes.

We had 6 sandwiches out of this, it could have made 8, served it with some chips, and it really was delicious. A quick easy meal made with leftover pork.
